Here’s my New Years post. I’ve made a big decision.

I’m going to stop.

I’m going to stop looking for that one thing to catapult me from being a victim to living life.
I’m going to stop giving in to shiny object syndrome.
I’m going to stop reading random things people post and actually do research.
I’m going to stop giving into distractions.
I’m going to stop playing too many video games.
I’m going to stop watching TV shows, YouTube videos, and movies except on date nights.
I’m going to stop complaining and solve problems.
I’m going to stop drinking too much coffee.
I’m going to stop putting crap in my body.
I’m going to stop staying up at night.
I’m going to stop the outrage.
I’m going to stop pursuing the high that comes with happiness and work through struggle.
I’m going to stop reading the comments sections.
I’m going to stop being anti-social.
I’m going to stop with the identity politics.
I’m going to stop being a jerk.
I’m going to stop staring at computer screens.
I’m going to stop being fat and lazy.
I’m going to stop bragging and take action.

But in the end, I’m also going to stop making promises I can’t keep.
In the end, making decisions and putting in effort only gets people so far even with the passion and Godly favour they possess. So I’m going to stop putting my blood sweat and tears into trying and just do life one day at a time and let God handle the rest.
Don't try.
